This Week - Brent Doerner
Wow - my brother Brian and I attended the MIAC show at the Toronto International Center this past Sunday, and it was really great. The Miac show is a trade show for the music industry and Brian was representing Los Cabos drum sticks. I ran into Greg Godovitz (Goddo) who was a gas to talk to. He has his own radio talk show in Toronto at 1010 CFRB, and has had many famous guests on. I also saw Gil Moore (Triumph) and Rudolph Schenker of the Scorpions as well.
The Tascam people offered very helpful info on my 24 track machine at home - thanks Phil! Also, the Line 6 amplifier people really helped out too - thanks Nick! David Love is the guitar player in the Guess Who and also represents KOCH amplifiers here in Canada which I am one of their endorsees. David's got some great stuff going on with specialty stuff for guitar players - at David Love Music Sales.
Brian and I also met Scarlet Sins - an all girl heavy metal band - check 'em out - they rock. Last but not least, through FaceBook - I've agreed to an endorsement with Robert Holmes Customs out of London, Ontario who has graciously offered custom guitar finishes and paint jobs to our guitars. See you in a week or so Bob! I'm looking forward to getting together on this.
I'm having trouble writing songs this week - trying to prepare for our wedding this week-end - it's hard to concentrate!!! How many people am I now??!?!
